Wow! What an incredible evening for a countryside stroll with Olivia and Paul and their young children Audrey and Arlo. In truth it was a little later in the evening at the end of August so not a drastically late bed time for these two cherubs, and after all it was still the summer holiday! It was totally worth it though (apart from the excitement of staying up later!) as the golden light was just gorgeous.

I’ve known Olivia and Paul for over 7 years as I had the privilege of photographing their wedding. We became friends and have kept in touch ever since! This is one of the things that I love about what I do – forming friendships and seeing a couple’s family grow and how incredible that I get to document that journey. I feel very fortunate that I’m able to create these memories for generations to come.

Right – so on to the shoot! I’m lucky enough to live in a village (just outside of Canterbury) where were are surrounded by stunning countryside. I knew the nearby wheat hadn’t been harvested when Olivia and Paul booked the shoot so I suggested that maybe they might like a family outing over in this direction. Lots of fun was had and the family were a delight to spend time with and photograph. Here are a few of my favourite images from the evening.
