I’ve know Anna for around 4 years now – we met whilst shooting Emily and Chris’s wedding in Jersey. Anna is very talented cinematographer (Somma Productions) and after shooting a number of wedding s together, both in the UK and Jersey, have become great friends. Last summer she announced she was expecting her first baby and I was super excited for her! Fast forward to July of this year and I was delighted to be asked to photograph Anna, her partner Maikel and their 7 month of son, Lucca.
We chose their home parish of Grouville and headed down to Gorey beach. This is one of my favourite locations on the Island as it holds many childhood memories for me as we spent many years as children there on our annual holiday to stay with my grandparents and visit our family. In later years, I would take my son to the bay where like me, would spend hours in the shallow waters and building sand castles. Lucky Lucca to have all that to come. Jersey is truly a very special Island. So onto their Jersey Family Photoshoot! Anna had told me that Lucca hadn’t had his morning nap so forewarned me he might not be on form! Well far from it – he was a total poppet. I loved capturing the interaction between him and his partents – some beautiful intimate moments and playful fun too. And oh that serious face! I can’t wait to photograph the next chapter and see how Lucca has changed. Here are a few of my favourite images from our time together…
